I can describe this year, with great emphasis as amazing! I completely turned it around from my poor freshmen year in which I hardly passed any classes. Now, I am proud to say that with all my hard work and positivity I am going to take several AP classes and I am currently passing all my classes. Freshmen year might have made one of the worst years in terms of actually everything but sophomore year has been a wonderful year full of improvement. Although, I may not be classified as one of the “smartest” students in my class, I can say it’s Irrelevant. What will really help you succeed is your hard work, attitude, and determination. So far, the most memorable moment throughout my whole high school year has been the award I received for the Victims Rights Art Contest, receiving the news that I was third place in the Mock Trial Art Contest, the soccer games, and especially getting admitted into the AP classes! Concerning extracurricular activities what I am interested is running and FBLA. When referring to college I am definitely interested in going. However, like many of my peers, I have no idea where I want to go or what profession I want. Despite my lack of knowledge on what I want to do, I am determined to go to college. I completely understand that going to college is going to be hard to enter to especially because I am one of the many dreamers in the United States. Although, I know how hard it’s going to be I am ready to face any challenges that come my way. I am prepared for all the hard work and even if it doesn’t happen having put all the effort into being able to be successful is plenty to satisfy me. I really don’t know what I want to be in terms of a career but there is perhaps a few professions I can see myself possibly engaging in is an art teacher or anything having to do with being a forensic anthropologist. The reason for these two careers is that I can describe these as completely enjoyable to me. An art teacher would be ideal for me because I would be able to share one of greatest passions for art with younger people and possibly I would be able to change their perception on art enabling them to have enjoyment when creating art instead of them viewing art as a constant struggle. What really made me interested in being a forensic anthropologist was one of my favorite tv shows, Bones. It just seems so fascinating to me how they work with all the dead bodies to find what occurred to the person who is diseased. If I am realistic, junior year is going to extremely difficult especially with all the hard classes I am taking. I see myself having tons of homework, and just really struggling to get by. Hopefully, my attitude and determination remains throughout my whole junior year. I know It is going to be hard but I am already preparing for it this summer with tons of studying. What I really hope would happen though, is that I overcome those difficult times and finish the year passing with a 4.0 gpa or higher and pass all my AP exams. I am aware It’s going to be one of the hardest years, but like I mentioned before, I am up for the challenge!
